Mean IPA 6.7% 50L Keg $440 + GST Because you need an IPA, don’t you? You do. I mean a brewery needs an IPA, sure, that’s just basic business sense. But you, the people, you need this too. This IPA is deep and golden, it has all kinds of pineapple and citrus in it, but also with a clean, balanced bitterness. It’s like a balm for your weary soul. I have seen people cheer up, very quickly, upon tasting this IPA (true story).

Mean APA 5% 50L Keg $380 + GST So what's the difference, between an IPA and an APA? The boring answer: it's the hops. The more interesting answer: it's a feeling. IPAs are cool, they're punchy, they're fresh. They're maybe a little loud - like Elastica. Remember them? Whereas APAs are kind of murkier, heavier - gruntier, but in a good way, sort of like... uh... ...well, like L7 I guess. So while IPAs probably sold way more records back in the 90s, and I think one of them dated Damon Albarn, APAs had a track on the Natural Born Killers OST, and a cameo appearance in Serial Mom. I hope that explains things. This one's got Citra, Simcoe and Ekuanot hops.

La Ger 3.8% 50L Keg - $320 + GST Qu'est-ce que c'est la Ger? La Ger est un sentiment. It's how you feel when you're happy with yourself, and where you are, and who you're with. Pourquoi la Ger? Aucune raison. You don't really need to explain it. It just happens. Try it. Turn to the person next to you and say it. Say “La Ger”. See? Ou est la Ger? La Ger c'est partout. I know I'm supposed to say it's in your heart but no, basically it's everywhere quality beers are sold. Probably it's right in front of you because you're reading this. La Ger est Francais? Non, définitivement pas. It's a German style beer made in New Zealand by a part-Inuit man who was kicked out of fourth form French for misbehaviour (true story).

Hazy Sesh 4.0% Oh I like these easy ones. What is it? It's a beer. Hazy, light-bodied, light drinking. Is it good? Yeah, definitely. Kind of a fruit punch thing. Will I like it? What am I, psychic? I already said it's good. Do you like good beer? Stop asking questions. 50L Keg - $385 + GST

Mean Red IPA 6.5% Flavour notes for this one go: “mahogany goodness with mango, melon and mandarin on the nose, and pineapple...” – ah, whatever, I don't have my reading glasses and Dean’s handwriting is hard to decipher. I think it says “raisin and pine flavours”?Hmm. I've never been good at identifying all these little fruit tastes, maybe people just make all that stuff up? I get more of a caramel thing from it. Anyway it's awesome – personally, this one is my favourite. 50L Keg - $420 + GST

It all ties in beautifully with the distinctive clovey saison yeast, dry as a bone, bright and sparkling. 50L Keg - $430 + GST
